our story:
It all started in 2020, at the Visele Livecrop Skills Training Centre, where I, Alpha, was supervising the student outreach program.
Our goal was to provide free veterinary services to the surrounding community, offering students real-world experiences and fostering a compassionate community.
We were met with an overwhelming number of animals in desperate need, and despite our best efforts, we soon ran out of resources.
During this challenging time, the name "Smile" came to mind. Determined to bring back the smiles to our furry friends' faces, we pressed on with the support of my colleagues and Dr. Jerome Bahemu, the founder of the training center. And in 2021, we officially became Animal Smile Africa, an NGO with a shared vision of improving the lives of animals in need.
Our journey took a significant turn in 2022 when Dr. Jerome introduced us to Dr. Eric, the founder of International Veterinary Outreach. Dr. Eric's expertise and passion for animal welfare resonated deeply with our mission, and he became a valuable mentor and collaborator. Together, we've launched various programs and initiatives, expanding our reach and impact.
Today, Animal Smile Africa stands as a testament to the power of compassion and collective action. From spaying and neutering to vaccinations, education, and community engagement, we strive to ensure the well-being of animals and foster a harmonious relationship between humans and animals.
Join us on this incredible journey of making a tangible
difference in the lives of animals and communities.
Together, we can create a brighter future for all.
